Description
Light Condition:
Bird’s Nest Ferns thrive in bright, indirect light. They do well in medium light but can also tolerate lower light conditions. While it can handle temperatures slightly above its ideal range, prolonged exposure to temperatures above 80°F (27°C) can stress the plant.
Water level:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Generally, this means watering once a week, but frequency can vary depending on light, temperature, and humidity.
Temperature:
Prefers temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). It is sensitive to cold and should be protected from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Repotting:
Repot the Bird’s Nest Fern every 1-2 years or when it becomes root-bound or outgrows its pot. Signs that it needs repotting include roots growing through the drainage holes or slow growth.
